Day -5

His platelets are below 50K so he received a transfusion. Today is his last day of Busulfan (chemo). Tomorrow he will start on some other chemo drugs. His appetite is not that great. He does eat at least one good meal per day. The two oral meds are not going down very well. The BMT nurse, Lizzy, is switching the Fluconazole (prevents fungus amoungus) to IV. The other oral med, Actigall, can be mixed with syrup. I asked if chocolate syrup (thanks, Bev, for the idea) was ok...sure is.
