Bad news and good news. The bad news is that David's rash is looking more like GVHD. Dr. Argawal saw that it had changed over the weekend and said it looks like GVHD. She is sending him to a dermatologist on Wednesday morning to do a skin biopsy. The rash is a little itchy under his chin especially when he wears his mask. He feels great otherwise. He is eating well and loves the nanny's oatmeal.
The good news is that we are home. David could not settle down last night, neither could the girls. He explored the entire house. Michael and I could not settle down either. We worked non-stop from 3pm to 11pm unpacking and organizing. Today has been just as busy. I'm not sure how I would survive without our nanny. She is a huge blessing in many ways to our family.
His Prograf level was low so it was increased to 3ml 2/day. The MMF was high, so they told me to stop giving it to him 3/day and go back to 2/day. The Prednisone was increased to 2/day but still at .5ml, this is to see if the rash goes away.
Thank you for your prayers and emails of encouragement. We hope the rash is not a permanent setback and will resolve itself with treatment. Please pray they use the right treatment and make the right decisions.
Back to unpacking...
