+138 Welts

The welts showed up on Friday morning too, gone by about 11am. On Friday night, by coincidence, I dressed him in a 100% cotton pj instead of fleece. On Saturday morning, no welts. I used another set of 100% pjs on Saturday night, no welts on Sunday morning. I think the heat of the fleece was causing the welts. My nanny took a picture of the welts so I'll post it soon.

He's been doing well with the Hickman dressing changes (where everything must be extremely sterile), the line flushes, and taking his Prograf with Spicy Cider. The Spicy Cider is sweet enough to disguise the Prograf. He loves to do "cheers" with anyone willing to play with him. I'm so glad it's not taking him literally hours to drink the medicine. He still does not know it's medicine, so please do not mention it.

We are loving the cool weather (30's in the morning, and up to high 40's during the day). The air seems cleaner and fresh lately. We go for bike rides every day since it's pretty much the only outdoor activity he can do.

Hi Aimee - I was going to suggest that the welts might be a heat rash. The way you described them made me think of heat rashes the girls used to get. Once the source of the heat is removed the rash disappears. I think you have found the culprit! And it is so good to realize it isn't a GVHD problem.
Take Care!!
