Promises for My Child

The day I received the call from Nancy about David having WAS, an awesome book came in the mail from our pastor's wife. It's called Praying God's Promises for My Child by Linda K. Taylor. I highly recommend this book for parents. It's meant to be a daily devotional but I skipped to the Times of Trial section. I am so encouraged by reading God's promises. God will be with us through deep waters and great trouble. We will not drown when we go through rivers of difficulty. When we walk through the fire of oppression, we will not burn up; flames will not consume us (Isaiah 43:2).

More words of encouragement: The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The righteous face many troubles, but the Lord rescues them from each and every one (Psalm 34:17-19).

It's a promise that He will rescue David from his troubles - in His way and in His time.
