NIH

I talked to the National Institute of Health (NIH) today. We plan to fly to Maryland sometime this month to have more tests done there. We hope the results will shed some light on the situation so we can make a wise decision about the BMT.

David is brusing again and his eyes are goopy most of the time. People look at him and don't see these flaws; he looks like a normal toddler. Mommies know their children better than anyone else. He does not look normal to me.

When the petechiae and brusing happen, it's an indication that his spleen is over-active. The spleen destroys the platelets. The doctors are not sure why this happens. Removal of the spleen has been a really good solution for some boys who want to participate in contact sports.
