The best news we have received in a while is I'm not a carrier! Wiskott-Aldrich is a rare syndrome by itself (4 in a million), just think how rare it is to not be a carrier (I'm not sure of the statistics on this one). Wiskott-Aldrich is a rare x-linked disorder. That means it comes from the mother and passed to the son. David did not receive it from my X chromosome. This also means our girls are not carriers! What great news! This is such a load off our chest because if we have another child we know that child will be fine.
We still have a long road ahead of us but we do not want to loose hope. I hope Grandma is right. Maybe David will just outgrow this problem.
