They Found Two Matches
Stanford found two bone marrow matches for David. This is great news in the event that we need a donor. Although, sometimes they find donors only to find out that the donor changed his mind. There are priorities Stanford puts on finding a donor. These two donors are perfect tissue antigen matches 10/10, they are male, they are CMV positive, one is A- the other is B+. We are not sure of David's CMV status. If he is negative CMV, they will extract the donors red blood cells. If David is positive, that is perfect. David is blood type O+. We are not sure how important this is and will do some research on this.
