Day +7

His hair is falling out today ;-( I expected it to around day 7, so that's what I get ;-) I may ask someone to come shave it all off so I don't have to clean up clumps of hair all day or worry about it getting into our food.

He took his oral med with a big fight. Most of the nurses dislike giving him his meds because they have to use so much force to open his mouth and hold his head still. There is one nurse, Sylvia, that did a great job with his meds when he was here in February. I put in a request for her and hopefully she can help us break this barrier. The nurse today said the NG Tube is not a good long-term solution, not practical since he will be on oral meds for 1-2 years. So, he needs to learn how to take them.

You don't know me, but I am in tears reading your blog. I happened upon it today and couldn't drag myself away. I don't know how you are doing it, but you rock! I have a 3 yr old and I just don't know...it kills me to see such an innocent child having to go through all of the trauma your son is experiencing. You are an inspiration!
Keep on keepin on and God bless you and your precious family.
