It's clear that GVHD is not fully understood by doctors. I'm coming to understand this as David's doctors don't know what to do. He was put on Zenapax so steroids could be eliminated. It appears that theory is not working. Treatment is trial and error. Medicine turning into an art.
I couldn't believe my eyes how many GVHD Clinical Trials are in progress:
Acute GVHD Clinical Trials (around 37)
Chronic GVHD Clinical Trials (around 39)
Also, an awesome, informative website (lymphomation.com) with many links talking about GVHD, treatments, outcomes, studies. The only thing is that some of the links go back to 2002, so not the most current info.
