His numbers are doing well. The hemoglobin is low but they think it is due to blood draws. Hopefully by Monday it will increase. He is taking steroids only 1x/day. He still has no diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or skin rash. He's not eating great, just ok.
We had another busy day painting and playing with playdough with the other kids. Unfortunately, we got bad news about Joseph (has sickle cell anemia) that he needs another transplant. His donor is his twin brother who has the sickle cell trait, but does not have sickle cell. His mom told him the blood from his brother did not work and that they need to try it again. Poor thing! I was devastated.
The wing is now full. I'm the only Caucasian. There are 3 Hispanics, and 2 Asians. The shared kitchen is very busy once again.
