+163 No Hemolysing!

Official word from Dr. Dvorak is that he is not hemolysing (breaking down his red blood cells). The heptaglobin test did not show any hemolysing.

Why low hemoglobin? The answer, we think, is related to his donor being a different blood type. Everything about the donor matched, except his blood type. David's body should be switching to his donor's blood type any day now. Although David is 100% engrafted (neutrifils and platelets), his red blood cells are not engrafted.

He has cold symptoms which are making him feel awful. He is not eating much and feels cruddy.

Please pray for:
  • His red blood cells will engraft and become B+ blood type
  • That no GVHD rash appears
  • That the cold quickly disappears

Thank you for your prayers and support!
