+219 MMF (Celcept) Discontinued!

WBC 8400 - great
Hemoglobin - 9.4 up a little
Platelets 281 - normal
Weight 12.7 kilo = 28 lbs - stable
Height 38 inchs

He's been feeling pretty good! His behavior has been aggressive (throwing things) and he really wants to practice his independence (especially when I would rather him not). The household has had a cold for the past 3 weeks. Today I heard some congestion in his nose, but it has not turned into anything. We keep holding our breath and praying he does not come down with it. Any time he comes down with a cold it makes his bone marrow work harder which slows the recovery process.

No significant signs of skin GVHD. He's had a skin rash under the Statlock which holds the Hickman tube. I removed the Statlock to give his skin time to heal and that worked. We see only a few little skin bumps but they have not spread in the past 3 weeks and they come and go. So...

The MMF (Celcept) immunosuppressant was stopped today! Dr. Dvorak thinks it never really helped in the first place. I don't know why he's been on it for 6 months. We will come back to clinic in 10 days, which is a first, since our current schedule is every 7 days. If things look good, his other immunosuppressant, Zenopax, will taper to every 3 weeks instead of every 2 weeks.
