+1745 - Last Dose of Oral Steroids

We are so happy to announce that May 25, 2011 was David's last dose of oral steroids.

Current meds:

Diamox (for eye pressure reduction) - 2 tabs/twice/day
Levothyroxine (Hashimotos Thyroditis) - 1 tab/once day
Septra (preventive antibiotic) - Mon/Weds/Fri twice/day

He still need topical ointments for his skin still flares up if we don't stay on top of it.

David saw the eye doctor (Dr. Frederick) last week.  He thinks he sees drusen.  Drusen is interesting.

We are heading to the NIH.

Until next time....

Yay!!! So glad he's off the steroids! I know they were causing him lots of problems. We pray for David and all of our "BMT Buddies" every night. Here's to David being completely cured ASAP!!!

I am so thankful for David's improvement. I keep his pictures where I go to pray. It helps me to be more earnest when I see that precious little face. I'll be praying for his eyes and the drusen.
