So far so good

david is still on two antibiotics three/day. The newest (from yesterday and today) blood cultures have not grown. that is great news. We were moved to the third floor (only three floors in this hospital) into a priviate room. So glad to get some peace and quiet. Our other roommate was 4 yrs old and slept during the day, staying up until 3:30AM at night. Very hard to sleep through that. I made a dark tent around David's crib to help him sleep in the dark. I have learned about the benefits of melatonin, which is naturally produced in our bodies when we sleep in a dark room. Without melatonin, the risk of cancer goes up.

The plan is to go home on Monday morning once they identify the old bacteria, so they will know which antibiotic to send us home with. The home nurse will train us how to administer it.
