First Blood Transfusion
His hemoglobin was 7.2 (normal is 11-13) so the doctor ordered a unit of blood. He is receiving it over 4 hours to reduce any allergic reactions. He is on-call for surgery to centrally place his line. He cannot eat or drink. Makes it hard for him but he understands. He's a good boy.
